About Me

Hi, I’m Lauren! I’m a Film, TV, and Digital Media Creator driven by the idea that stories expand empathy. I traverse many different media spaces, but my reason for creating remains the same: backing innovative, high-quality, and socially relevant stories.

I attended the University of Michigan pursuing a dual degree in Film, Television, & Media and International Studies with a focus on human rights and foreign affairs. While in college, I was the General Manager of the student-run television station WOLV-TV where I received a Michigan Association of Broadcasters Student Award. I also began independently producing for PBS Detroit working on local productions such as One Detroit & Great Lakes Now and producing short films that attended festivals such as the Cannes Short Film Corner, Hell’s Half Mile Film & Music Festival, and Detroit SheTown Film Festival.

After college, I began working as a Producer at the Michigan Learning Channel a statewide public television partnership born out of the pandemic offering instructional content to support the education of students and to provide alternative resources for families and teachers. Meanwhile, I decided to make the move to NYC to pursue bigger and better production opportunities where I worked as a Set PA for Netflix, HBO Max, & Amazon Studios. I eventually landed a position as an Assistant to the Producers of Season 2 of HBO’s The Gilded Age where I learned the ins and outs of producing a large-scale historical drama.

In the future, I would like to continue to learn and grow as a young production professional. Eventually, I plan to integrate knowledge from my International Studies courses with the art of cinema to advance human rights via filmmaking as an Executive at my own multimedia company.
